There is no higher priority for EMCC than the emphasis which we place upon safety.
We are committed to the provision and maintenance of a safe and healthy workplace, on all our sites and in all our offices. We want to be at the forefront of all new safety initiatives to ensure weare industry leaders.
In implementing our Health and Safety policy, we have committed to
- Maintain an effective occupational health and safety system, to ensure risks are identified, assessed and eliminated or controlled.
- Comply with all Health and Safety legislation, codes of practice, applicable codes and other standards.
- Facilitate good health and safety performance by fostering consultation between EMCC, its employees and representatives, subcontractors, suppliers and other relevant stakeholders.
- Make Health and Safety an integral part of all managerial and supervisory positions and ensure it is considered in all planning and work activities; ensure all work is undertaken by competent and suitably trained people.
- Provide a continuous program of education and learning.
- Actively encourage all employees to embrace the concept of safe work practices and a safe working environment.
- Measure health and safety performance through regular monitoring of set objectives and targets for each workplace, including examination of work practices, workplaces, Health and Safety Committees, injury reports and other relevant indicators.
- Implement strategies to minimize work related injury and illness.
- Ensure appropriate resources are available.
